Omniture and ObservePoint Co-Founder John Pestana Elected to the Board of the Digital Analytics Association

SILICON SLOPES, Utah — June 14, 2019 — ObservePoint, the premier provider of tag governance and analytics testing solutions, is excited to announce that serial entrepreneur and ObservePoint co-founder John Pestana has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Digital Analytics Association for the 2019-2021 term.

The Digital Analytics Association is an organization dedicated to “advancing the use of data to understand and improve the digital world through professional development and community.” As a member of the DAA, Pestana has spent over 20 years in the analytics industry and is often known as the father of web analytics due to his fundamental role in the founding and growth of the analytics company Omniture.

Pestana and his counterpart Josh James founded Omniture in 1996 and in a matter of years grew the company to be a global organization providing robust web analytics solutions to enterprises worldwide. Omniture was acquired by Adobe in 2009, at which point Omniture became Adobe Analytics. 

“When Josh and I founded Omniture,” Pestana commented, “we had a vision of the value web analytics would provide for companies that were just starting to move online. As Omniture’s prospects grew, so did our vision of what the future held for online business, and we were privileged to be active participants in what has become an unprecedented age of technology-powered business.”

Pestana is excited to serve on the Board of Directors at the DAA and for another opportunity to participate in a community he loves so much. “Data is what keeps companies nimble and aware.
